Products High CurrentSince we first began supplying ”plating rectifier ” in 1945 Kraftelektronik has led the way in technical development. For example, we were one of the first to utilize thyristor technology and were among the first to realize that in most cases air cooling is easier and cheaper than water or oil cooling. Over the last 25 years we have focused on high-frequency switch mode (SMPS) technology. This offers significant benefits for users, since the rectifiers can be made small and light, but at the same time robust, reliable and precise. We have supplied around 25,000 such units, many of them still in operation. The arrival of Flex Kraft, the latest addition to our product range, represents another step forward. Flex Kraft is based on identical standard modules that are linked together to give precisely the output required by each customer or installation. Total flexibility was our design goal and we are very pleased to be able to offer this unique product to the market. You can find more information about Flex Kraft and our other high current rectifiers below and via the links.

Flex KraftThe basis of Flex Kraft is an output-regulated power module rated at 7.5 kW. Depending on the way this module is configured, its output can cover a very wide range. For example, a single module can deliver 15V/500A, 12V/600A, 24V/300A or 30V/250A. Alternatively the module can be configured for “dual output”, providing two totally independent outputs of 12V/300A. Output is increased simply by connecting power modules together, for instance we have supplied Flex Kraft systems with a current rating of 24,000 Amperes! This flexibility, combined with first-class specifications in general, means that Flex Kraft is ideally suited to all types of DC-based electrochemical processes. |

Multi PulseFor special applications, such as copper plating of complex
PCBs, the use of pulsed (and sometimes reverse) current has become
increasingly common. This technology is under constant development.
Multi Pulse units incorporate all the features requested by users.
The range covers current ratings from 250A fwd/1000A rev and
upwards. |
